Marvin Gaye was an American singer, songwriter and musician who was crucial in the shaping of the sound of Motown in the 1960s. He is known for a slew of hits including "I Heard it Through the Grapevine, " How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You), " "What's Goin' On, " "Let's Get It On, " and "Sexual Healing among others.
His musical careerned the 60s, 70s and early 80s. Sadly, on April 1, 1984, his father shot and killed him during a dispute. Since his death, he has continued to receive recognition including his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Please message me with any questions you may have!
