N. W. A. Straight Outta Compton Album Poster SIGNED autographed 1989 Ice Cube DRE
Here is what I think is one the biggest rarities I have ever come across.. This one has a little story behind it , here it goes. Roughly 10 years ago was sadly to a going out of business sale at one of Racine, Wisconsin's most popular record stores. I was there to see if I could find any good deals on music and noticed this hanging on the wall with a bunch of other framed memorabilia.
I finally asked the near elderly lady behind the counter if it was for sale and to the best of my recollection got this story from her.. Apparently, she was there back in the day when they were in town on tour.
She says , "Those were some real tough guys" They came in with a whole posse "It is autographed by them and one of them even signed it in blood"! She mentioned they were in town for a concert and came by the store for a promotional appearance. Oddly enough I didn't even realize it was signed when I first saw it and just liked the framed artwork!
After a little more chit chat we finally agreed on a price. After getting it home I was able to look at it more closely and while it is pretty light and hard to make out exactly what it says it most definetly appears to be signed in blood. (I keeping thinking of a classic old school blood brothers ritual going on with members of the group).
Then I got to thinking how ironic it would be if this is EaZY E himself's name signed in blood.. Again, it is a little hard to tell what the blood portion says but if you look closely in the pics to the right and under the A in N. What I think I make most of it out to say is also whats written in marker towards the bottom - B. It is also clearly signed in marker by ICE CUBE and B. Rappers - Master - M. I can't find or figure out any correlation between B. Rappers and NWA so that is a mystery to me.It is 12X12 and in a very nice professional frame.
