David Bowie Signed Original Autograph CHANGESONEBOWIE LP Vinyl Record Album 1990
I first saw Bowie live in 1983(Serious Moonlight) and my life changed. On the following two occasions that Bowie came to Winnipeg, I staked out at the Westin Hotel(which is now the Fairmont Hotel) in downtown Winnipeg and was lucky enough to meet him twice.
The first in'87(Glass Spider) then'90(Sound and Vision). I was very fortunate to come away with four authentic, original, autographed items. Three that were personally signed for me and one that is a signed promo photo(8X10) from'87.
Each item is posted individually in separate listings. On the second of two occasion's Bowie was signing for me(March 10, 1990) I was even captured in a photo that ended up in our local newspaper(Winnipeg Sun;March 11, 1990). At the time it was published I asked the newspaper if they would be able to give me an actual photograph.
I have included a photo of that original picture in this listing for authenticity to me actually meeting Bowie, even though this listing is not for the poster Bowie is signing in the photograph. I have that item in a separate listing. I have decided to part with these items and have them individually listed.
These items were all my own original items and have been in my possession since I personally had them authentically signed. I have held onto them for 25-30 years. This listing is for an autographed CHANGESONEBOWIE vinyl LP record. David Bowie was to play at the Winnipeg Arena(March 10,1990) and earlier in the day I headed out to the Westin Hotel. I had a few items with me that I was hoping to get signed. I jumped up, approached, but he just kept walking towards the front doors. I asked him to stop and I said you stopped for me last time. He turned towards me, going through the doors and asked if I had a pen. I said I did, and handed it to him and by then he was outside almost at his waiting limo. Bowie stopped, and with the car door partially opened, signed this record for me and one other item. It was at that moment I was captured in the photo that ended up in the local newspaper. The record was my own, comes with the LP inside and is in very good condition. This item has been carefully stored since I had it signed by Bowie.
